Baby pigeons.

Joseph was always being told he should mourn that aeon that was missing, that everyone else had enjoyed in relentless halcyon. That someone somewhere is to blame. That he should try to make up for it with moments of abandon, that he should put aside some time for play.

Joseph always thought everyone else had endured imagined sunny days. In spontaneous flight he had landed fully formed.
