Mythology.

She examined her scars and tried to remember how they got there. Was she somewhere else then, anaesthetised when the skin was torn open? She touched the marks that were memories as real as folklore.

There are no lessons to be learned. Every now and then she became a new person walking around in a body that told the same old tales.
