Metaphors and similes.

Ian thought metaphors and similes existed purely to prevent him punching the life out of the next person who made his anger flash white hot. Metaphors and similes were there to sublimate his actions, so he could say you make me angry like a nest of wasps or think I see nothing but red.

He tried very hard to ensure he expressed himself in metaphors and similes, never letting the flare ignite his hands wrapped tightly around a swinging baseball bat. He knew the day would come when he would not find the words he needed, and then he would enjoy the sensation of the flesh of his fists connecting with the flesh of your face.
